The Boston Book Review Literary Awards were begun in 1994 to recognize the best of the year's literature. It consists of the Fisk Fiction Prize, the Rea Non-Fiction Prize and the Bingham Poetry Prize.

Awarded to the book that best represents the values RFK stood for: "concern for the poor and the powerless, his struggle for honest and even-handed justice, his conviction that a decent society must assure all young people a fair chance, and his faith that a free democracy can act to remedy disparities of power and opportunity."

The Guild of Food Writers Awards were established in 1996, to be presented annually in recognition of outstanding achievement in any area in which food writers work and have influence. The awards remain the only awards judged entirely by professional food writers, journalists and editors.

The Kraszna-Krausz Foundation and the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television have joined forces to re-launch the acclaimed K-K Book Awards with prize money of up to £10,000.

The Scott Moncrieff Prize, named for translator Charles Scott Moncrieff, is an annual literary prize for French to English translation, awarded to one or more translators every year for a full-length work deemed to have "literary merit."

The James Beard/KitchenAid Awards recognize the best books on culinary topics

The Travel Book Award originated as an initiative of The Thomas Cook Group in 1980, with the aim of encouraging and rewarding the art of literary travel writing.
